Narinder Pal Singh joins as PSPCL chief engineer

Narinder Pal Singh took over as the new chief engineer (Central Zone) ofthe Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).
The chief engineer said the complaints of the consumers related to power supply, would be resolved on priority basis and all possible steps would be taken to ensure regular power supply to the people. Singh, who assumed the charge of office after the retirement of Rachpal Singh, has served as chief engineer of the Store and Workshop and also as deputy chief engineer of City East and Suburban Circles here.
Claiming that arrangements were being made to procure power to meet the spurt in demand during paddy sowing season, he said farmers would get eight hours uninterrupted power supply from June 15 and there would be no scheduled power cut on any category of consumers.
Elaborating measures initiated by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited to streamline the fault rectification mechanism and to cut down delay in response time during the summer season, the chief engineer said 500 persons were being recruited on contract basis who would form mobile teams to attend to the complaints of disruption in power supply.
Singh also askedthe officials at division and sub-division level to ensure their presence in the offices during public meeting hours so that grievances of the consumers could be settled on the spot and without any delay.
