Residents of Chamasari village, around 5 km from Mussoorie, are in a party mood as a boy from their village has won three gold medals in the World Police Games.

Mukesh Singh Rawat, in record-breaking performance, won three gold medals at the games in the USA, bringing laurel not only to his village but also to the country.

Chamsari village gram pradhan Madhuri Melwan said Mukesh was fond of sports since his childhood and was a keen long and short distance runner.

Mukesh while studying in Nirmala Inter College took part in every short and long distance event and use to figure in top three.

Mukesh, after completing his school studies joined Mussoorie Post Graduate College in Mussoorie and continued with his passion for the game. Later, he qualified for the police services and due to his perseverance and hard work won three gold medals in the World Police Games, said Madhuri Melwan. She further said Mukesh would be given rousing welcome once he reaches his village.
