R. Madhavan, who is currently in Malaysia on a much needed break with his family, also travelled to Thailand to scout for some popular and trust worthy centres that train in boxing.

While the actor has learnt the basics for his film Saala Khadoos, he now wants his son to learn the sport in a more professional manner. Maddy, who himself was an NCC Cadet and received military training ,wants his son too to train in a sport, which he believes instills strong discipline and a sense of perseverance. The actor's son will travel alone and train in boxing extensively for 2 months.

Madhavan says, "I am glad my son recently expressed his desire to learn boxing, considered as one of the toughest sports. I would love to see him sporting boxing trunk and gloves."
