I have always been fond of Janmashtami and believe a lot in Lord Krishna I have played Lord Krishna in Suryaputra Karn and that really changed my life I am at more peace with myself I have never broken any matka but it will be exciting to try once Hopefully one day I might get a chance

Special occasion: Asmita Sood

My family is an ardent follower of Lord Krishna. I don’t call myself a devotee, but yes I definitely follow and observe this festival. As a child I remember the excitement; I used to stay up till midnight for Janmashtami and once in a while we used to visit ISKCON temple in Delhi, which used to be decked up beautifully with flowers.

The fondest memory of my childhood is going to see Lord Krishna ‘jhankis’. The beautiful ‘jhankis’ are very pleasing. I am a firm believer of Lord Krishna's philosophy.

Religious fervour: Krip Kapur Suri

I am from Delhi and Janmashtami is big there. People make decorated jhankis (models) outside their houses showing Lord Krishna’s birth. They are so interesting and innovative. I love to eat kheer puri and especially Krishna’s favourite white makhan with paranthas.

Firm believer: Jay Soni

I got the offer of playing Lord Krishna recently. This is the first time I will be playing God. I am a firm believer in Lord Krishna. I like his persona and aura.
