Govt to timely redress problems of people, says Nirmal Singh

Legislators and people from different walks of life called on Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh at the civil secretariat here today.

While talking to them, the Deputy Chief Minister said the new government would ensure that the problems of the people are redressed within the shortest possible time. He said necessary instructions would be passed to the departments and officers concerned in this regard.

A deputation of the councillors from Ladakh led by Sonam Dawa also called on the Deputy Chief Minister and apprised him of their problems, besides projecting various other demands related to the development of the region.

The Deputy Chief Minister told them that a comprehensive development package had already been formulated for the holistic development of the state and instructions would be passed to the departments concerned to timely complete the projects so that the people get the requisite benefits.

Nirmal Singh said the government was committed to equitable development of all three regions of the state so that it comes up as one of the model states in the country. 

Referring to various initiatives being undertaken in the housing sector, the Deputy Chief Minister said the timely completion of the schemes and programmes would ensure that the cities and towns of the state get all requisite and modern housing facilities.
