CM’s sops for Pauri town

Chief Minister Harish Rawat today announced several development schemes for Pauri, including Rs 50 lakh assistance for the construction of a slaughter house, a tube well at Bilkhet and the Timli ring road.
The Chief Minister Harish Rawat was addressing a gathering during the inauguration of the Sharadutsav programme at Pauri town today. He said a grant of Rs 2 lakh had been set aside for Messmore Inter College in the town.
He said the state government was making all efforts to check migration from hill villages. He added the government was promoting local pulses in a big way to strengthen the economy of the hill villages.
The Chief Minister said the government was making all efforts to promote higher education in the state. The state has more than 20 universities and 100 degree colleges.
He stressed the need for a scheme ensuring skilled education. He said Pauri had always excelled in the sphere of education.
Pauri MLA Sunder Lal Mandarwal, Pauri district panchayat chairman Dipti Rawat, Prithvipal Singh Chauhan and Pauri municipality chairman Yashpal Benam were present.
