Bhullar is Punjab Volleyball Association chief

Harcharan Singh Bhullar, AIG, Punjab (crime and investigation) has been unanimously elected as the president of the Punjab Volleyball Association.
He was elected during the annual general body meeting of the association held here today, which was chaired by the outgoing president, former DGP, Punjab, Rajan Gupta and attended by representatives of all district associations besides those from the BSF and the Punjab Police.
Raj Kumar was elected as the general secretary, while Sukhpal Singh Brar ‘Pali’, an Arjuna award winner (volleyball) and ADCP, Ludhiana, was named as the secretary of the new body. Bhullar was authorised to nominate other office-bearers of the body.
Bhullar is already working as the president of the Punjab Gatka Association, Gatka Federation of India and Chandigarh Weightlifting Association.
Karamvir Singh from Punjab Olympics Association, Jagir Singh from Volleyball Federation of India and Ravinder Singh from Punjab Sports Council attended the meeting as observers to oversee the election process.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Harinder Singh Brar, former chairman, PSEB, Gurpreet Singh, Gurnaib Singh Brar, former minister, Hakim Harminderpal Singh Minhas, Shamsher Singh Boparai, Navjot Singh and Kamaljit Singh, besides others.
