The Annual Creative and Academic Festival ‘Mindspree’ was organised at St Jude’s School here on Monday.

Creativity, innovation, rational thinking, knowledge management and digital media are a few perspicuous synonyms that describes ‘Mindspree’.

The festival, which aims at the holistic development of all students, is an inter-school three-day festival of quiz, art and mega poster competition, science project, business website, multimedia presentation, debate and choir competition.

Schools that participated in the quiz, individual art, mega poster, science project and business website contest were Summer Valley School, Scholar’s Home, St. Thomas’ College, Carman Residential and Day School, Dalanwala, Carman Residential and Day School, Premnagar, Convent of Jesus & Mary, St Xavier’s School, Doon Cambridge School, Ann Mary School, Touch Wood School, Hilton’s School, St Jude’s School and Indian Cambridge School.

Manuj Mittal, a quiz master from Career Launcher, bombarded students with questionnaires during the quiz session.

The rapid fire round electrified the air both for students and the audience. Rohitvasav Negi and Aditya Rawat of Summer Valley School stood first while Vinayak Gupta and Aman Singh of St. Jude’s School were adjudged the first runner-up.

Meanwhile, students poured out their creativity and talent at the mega poster and individual art competition. They brought the paper alive with their beautiful paintings. Students created ‘an image of their interpretation of the world’ in the mega poster competition.

Chief Guest S Benjamin gave a speech at the conclusion of the event. He praised efforts of St Jude’s School to organise such an event. He congratulated Principal VR Gardner and Vice-Principal Michelle Gardner for their vision behind the annual creative and academic festival. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal VR Gardner.
