Chandigarh, April 19

Young artistes of the Satvik Art Society attempted to depict the life, supreme intellect and resolute resolve for creating an invincible Bharat of political visionary Chanakya in a play at the Tagore Theatre today.

Senior actors Amit Sanauria and Server Ali directed the play during a theatre workshop by the society artistes. With provisional stage sets, costumes and music, an ambience of 320 BC was created for all situations, especially a mock royal court.

Durgesh Atwal, Shubham, Sarver Ali, Syyed Alam, Raja, Aman Gill, Dr Rajan Gupta and Jyoti Bansal essayed their roles well.

Chief guest Jitender Yadav, director, culture, extended support to the local groups for meaningful quality theatre productions. RK Khullar, Principal Secretary to Haryana CM, graced the function.
