8-day Minjar fair from tomorrow

Singers have been finalised for the eight-day International Minjar Fair of Chamba being celebrated from July 24 to 31.

Giving this information here, Chamba Deputy Commissioner Sudesh Mokhta, who is also the chairperson of the Minjar Fair Celebrations Committee, said Priyani Vani, who claimed to fame with Star Plus’ Amul Voice of India would perform on the first cultural night of the fair on July 24.

Debojit would give his musical concert on July 27 while playback singer Bishakh Jyoti would perform on July 29, the DC said.Punjabi singer Preet Harpal would give his performance on July 30. Singer Benny Dayal would entertain the audience on the last cultural night of the fair on July 31, the DC further told.

Three nights would entirely be assigned to Himachali folk singers, including local Chambiyali folk artistes, the DC said, adding that the folk singers would also present their programmes daily before prime time.
