25th mango mela on July 2 & 3

Several varieties of mango will be on display during the 25th Mango Mela, which will be held here at Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore, on July 2 and 3.
The event will be inaugurated by Haryana Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma at 6 pm while on the concluding day, the event will commence at 5:30 pm and Haryana Governor Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki will be the chief guest.
Preparations are on at the venue and the Police Department has been asked to provide adequate security there. Additional police force will also be stationed there so that traffic jams can be avoided during the two-day mango fair where a large number of people are expected to turn up from neighbouring towns. The district administration has planned to put up CCTV cameras at four sensitive places around the gardens to keep a check on unscrupulous elements. Arrangements have also been made to depute woman police force there.
Apart from this, a team of doctors and two ambulances will also be available in case of any medical exigency. Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Dr Garima Mittal said various types of mangoes would be on display for visitors. Haryana Tourism Department and the administration held a meeting with other department officials to decide the course of action.
