Punjab Academy of Sciences to honour Dr Kuldip Dhindsa

The Punjab Academy of Sciences (PAS) will honour Dr Kuldip Singh Dhindsa, an eminent scientist and a former Director-General of Chaudhary Devi Lal Vidyapeeth, Sirsa, for his contribution in the field of chemistry.
In a communication to Dr Dhindsa, PAS secretary Tarlok Singh said the academy would confer honorary Fellowship on him at the inaugural session of the 18th Punjab Science Congress at Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab) from February 7 to 9 .
Dr Tarlok Singh said the PAS, the single largest body of scientists working in universities, colleges and institutions across Punjab, awarded honorary Fellowships to distinguished scientists from India and abroad for their rich contribution to development of research in scientific fields.
The PAS also gave five Young Scientist Award every year carrying medals and a cash award of Rs 7,500 each.
