Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar, organised a skill building motivational seminar for teachers. Reena Charles, a motivational speaker and educationist, was the resource person. She acquainted the teachers with various techniques of motivating others. According to her, “Motivation is like a pebble tossed in water. Your influence will be felt in the lives of those around you and for generations to come. It will help in qualitative and productive enhancement, team building, managing stress, communicating skills and personal growth with a positive approach.” She focused on the parent-teacher relationship and inspired the teachers to be updated with the changing scenario. The seminar was a blend of activities and information.

City youth attains high rank in CA exam

Sahil Aggarwal, an alumnus of Kundan Vidya Mandir, has bagged all India 29th rank in CA examination. He took the CPT exam in 2009, completed the intermediate exam in 2011. He took coaching from Delhi, he said. It was the hard work and dedication that saw him excel in the exam. He pursued BCom from Shri Ram College of Commerce. He would now open his own consultancy firm and practice in the city, he added.

Online quiz

As per the instructions of the CBSE to celebrate Digital India Celebration-2015 to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy, an online quiz competition was organised for the students of Classes IX and X at Tagore Public School, Aggar Nagar. The students were tested on the grounds of nine pillars of Digital India like broadband highways, universal access to phones, public internet access programme, e-governance, e-Kranti in which students participated to emerge victorious. Certificates were provided to all participants and the winners will be selected by the board for the UT, state and national level.

Digital India Week celebrated

Spring Dale Senior Secondary Public School organised a quiz programme in which students participated and 45 of them were declared merit holders in the online quiz. An IT quiz programme was also organised on the campus. There were three teams with 3 students each and 4 rounds of questions.

Coffee with parents organised

Manav Rachna International School organised coffee with parents of students studying in Class I to VII. Parents were invited for an hour long open house. Shilpi Gill, vice-principal, shared with the parents how the school has succeeded in creating a culture of fellow-feeling and camaraderie in a short span of time. The school and students have developed an emotional connect; such an environment is conducive to learning. She encouraged the parents to ask questions frankly. — TNS
