Ludhiana: Shri Ram Global Pre-School held its first annual sports meet “little mascots” on Saturday. The event was held to emphasise on the importance of physical activity in the preschooling years. Starting with the march past tiny tots went on to do drills like zumba, aerobics and yoga. The march was followed by races such as “pack your school bag”, “bob the builder”, “clean India green India”, and “hurdle race”.  The event was presided by guest from various fields like education, business, army, police and social workers.

HVM CONVENT ORGANISES WORKSHOP

The HVM Convent Sr. Sec. School, Karamsar Colony, BastiJodhewal, organised a teacher training workshop focusing on better classroom management, understanding child psychology and use of phonetics. AnitaBhadaur a renowned educationist was the resource person. Various group activities, discussions, interactive sessions were held to enhance effective teaching for better learning process among the children.

Annual function celebrations 

Maple Bear Canadian Play Way & Nursery School, Udham Singh Nagar celebrated 11th annual function, Colours, at Lions Club on Sunday. Tiny tots put up a great performance and the event began on a classical note. The main attraction of the evening was presentation of the songs depicting the versatile colours of different states of India. The message was to know the vast cultural heritage of India. Principal of the school Veena Aggarwal read out the annual report and lauded the efforts of the teachers, staff & parents for making the long journey of 10 years successful .More than 170 students participated in the function. The occasion was presided over by Simran Kaur Wander, SMO, who gave away mementoes and certificates and congratulated the management and staff for completing 11 years of excellence in education.

IGNOU INDUCTION MEETING-2017

An ‘Induction Meeting’ of Indira Gandhi National Open University was held at IGNOU Special Study Centre at Everest Public Senior Secondary, Moti Nagar on the eve of the commencement of the new session. Sanjeev Talwar (Sanjay), MLA, Ludhiana, was the chief guest on this occasion. The other present on this occasion were Rajinder Sharma, President, Association of the PSEB Affiliated Schools Punjab (Regd.) and other dignitaries. Sanjay Talwar gave detailed information about the policy and programmes of IGNOU. He said that at present lakh of students are receiving education form the IGNOU and its centers are not only in India but through out the world. Asha Sharma, Coordinator, IGNOU Special Study Centre, threw light on various subjects taken by the new comers and advised them to study wholeheartedly to set new records in the sphere of education.

Graduation ceremony

Childhood Kindergarten bid adieu to the outgoing batch of pre-nursery in the Graduation Ceremony-Childhood Fiesta held on Sunday. The function started with a welcome song by the little ones. The School Director, Ishneet Sharma, blessed the students and wished them the very best in their future endeavours. She urged them to remember the values and principles inculcated by the school and expressed her belief that her students would continue to uphold their school’s name in every walk of life. The occasion was graced by Councilor Tanvir Dhaliwal. Guneet Arora was the guest of honour. The award for ‘Ms Talented’ was bagged by Aashima while Mr.Talented was given to Manseerat Singh.— TNS
