Achievers felicitated at MCM College

Over 400 students were felicitated for their achievements in academics, cultural activities and sports during a prize distribution function at MCM DAV College, Sector 36, here today.

The event began with the annual report presentation by the college principal, Dr Puneet Bedi. The report elaborated accomplishments of the college in the academic year.

To inspire the academic achievers, cash prizes worth Rs 2.84 lakh, college colours, special prizes and trophies were given. Kriti Sharma was awarded for outstanding performance in academics, Pia Bakshi for exceptional participation in extra-curricular activities and Nisha Hooda for excellent achievement in sports.

Numerous special prizes were also awarded, including the Best Rotatactor prize to Sumi Sareen. The annual newsletter was also unveiled on the occasion by the chief guest, RS Sharma, general secretary, DAVCMC, New Delhi.

The college teams of giddha, mime and music were honoured for their performance during the Panjab University zonal and inter-zonal youth festival.
