Sikhs welcome int’l nagar kirtan in Delhi

The International Nagar Kirtan (religious procession), which started from Nankana Sahib in Pakistan, in July arrived in the Capital today. The procession is a part of the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak.
The Nagar Kirtan was welcomed in Badarpur (Delhi-Faridabad) boundary by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC).
The DSGMC has drawn out an elaborate plan for the procession to visit various places in the Capital over the next three days. Among other prominent places it will visit Bala Sahib, Nanak Pio, Bangla Sahib and Rakab Ganj.
The procession has travelled to several parts of the country. Guru Nanak’s message is not for any single religion but for the humanity. The Guru asked the people not to discriminate in the name of religion, caste, sex, etc. said a DSGMC statement asking people to pay obeisance.
