Capt Shalini Singh joins AAP

Indian Army veteran Captain Shalini Singh today joined the AAP in the presence of party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh who made the announcement at party office. Later, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal welcomed her via Twitter. Besides, her former vice-president of Delhi BJP's youth wing Shailendra Singh also joined the AAP.
“Have joined the AAP because I have seen it transforming Delhi in the past four years,” she said. “As an Army personnel, I have served the country with full dedication. Today I joined the party as I want to continue serving my nation and want to bring the much-needed change. For me it’s always nation before self,” she said.
Singh is the wife of late Major Avinash Singh Bhadauria who was awarded the Kirti Chakra posthumously. She joined the Indian Army as a Captain in 2002.
