Lawyers strike work at dist courts

Advocates of Panchkula district courts today observed strike in protest against the beating of a lawyer yesterday.

The incident happened last evening when advocate Anil Kaliraman had gone with his client to record his statement at the mahila police station. Both parties in this dowry harassment case were present there. When his client, a woman, sought permission to see her one-year-old son, her in-laws beat him. The police have arrested two persons in this regard for beating the advocate.
