Senior citizens’ body recalls achievements

The All Mussoorie Senior Citizen Welfare Committee organised its seventh annual function here today. Members discussed programmes initiated by the committee.

Committee president SS Khullar said the committee was working to make elderly avail the benefit of government schemes. General secretary Narendar Sahni read out the annual report, highlighting the achievements of the committee. He said the committee was running two physiotherapy centres in the town for elders and had organised several rallies for senior citizens throughout the year. He said the committee was able to convince Max Hospital to give 20% discount to elderly patients for treatment.

Senior citizens Madan Mohan Sharma, KK Berry, Ravider Goyal, SP Kochar and others addressed the gathering. KR Kothari, SP Chamoli, Ram Kumar,Satish Gupta, GL Chadda, SP Tiwari, Balbeer Chauhan, Indrajeet Arora, Santosh Arya and CR Arya among others were present.
