Musical end to Goonj

The three-day cultural fest of the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Goonj 2015, concluded with a performance by popular Pakistani pop singer Falak Shabir during the star night at Panjab University here today. The last day of the event witnessed great zeal from the participants, who took their chance in showcasing their abilities at the platform.
A variety of technical and non-technical events were conducted at the third day of the fest, including brand quiz, pick and place and mock placement drive. Robo Warrior, a technical event, attracted visitors. The competition of ‘Mr and Miss Goonj’ was the most awaited event of the show.
Meanwhile, the evening was enthralled by the KTM bike stunt.
Each player was given a chance to beat each other on popular games such as counter strike and EA Sports FIFA 14.
Eighteen individuals took part in the FIFA 14 event and 10 teams (40 individuals) participated in counter strike.
Students from various colleges, including MCM DAV College for Women; DAV College, Sector 10; Kurukshetra University and Government College, Sector 11, were seen taking part in most of the events.
