Members of Lakshmi Narayan Temple Trust appointed

Chamba, March 11

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chamba has appointed the official and non-official members of the Lakshmi Narayan Temple Trust through an order issued here on Monday. The members will manage various activities and affairs of the ancient temples.

In his orders, issued under the Himachal Pradesh Hindu Public Religious Institutions and Charitable Trust Act, the DC said the Chamba sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), district language officer, district public relations officer, tehsildar, executive officer Chamba municipal council, executive engineers of Public Works Department (PWD), electricity board and Irrigation and Public Health (IPH) Department had been appointed as the official members of the trust.

The non-official members of the trust include Shanti Dutt, Rattan Chand, Vinay Sharma, AP Bagalwan, Bhupender Sharma, Devinder Barotra, Pawan Sharma, Laxmidhar Sharma, Devi Prashad Upadhyay and Tej Singh Jasrotia.

The management and welfare committees which were in existence earlier had been dissolved, the DC said in his orders.

He further stated that the newly appointed members had started functioning with immediate effect.
