The engine of a goods train derailed at the Karnal railway station in the wee hours today. However, there was no casualty reported in this incident.

Virender Kumar, station superintendent, said the incident took place in the wee hours when the goods train was shunting back in the yard. With the help of a maintenance van, the situation got streamlined within an hour. Officials rushed to the spot and took control of the situation.
