A sacked Railway Protection Force (RPF) employee has accused Uttarakhand DGP BS Sidhu of trying to sexually assault her. She levelled the allegations at a press conference here today. She alleged that her service was terminated as she had refused to accept “objectionable” orders of Sidhu.
“The incident had occurred when Sidhu was Chief Security Commissioner (RPF) and she was head clerk at his office in Mumbai in 2004. Sidhu called me to his office and tried to sexually assault me. I had reported the matter to higher authorities and National Commission for Women immediately,” she said.
She alleged that her service was terminated on the report of a committee, the members of which were junior officers to Sidhu. “ A complaint to the Uttarakhand government and the Uttarakhand Human Rights Commission was made in September 2014 and November 2015, but to no avail,” she said.
The DGP, rubbishing the allegations, maintained that she was sacked for repeatedly failing to comply with government orders.
