Big B disappoints fans at Lalru college

Dejection, disappointment and agony were writ large on faces of students of Swami Parmanand Group of Colleges here today as Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan failed to turn up at an event he was supposed to take part in the college.

Hundreds of college students felt cheated and taken for a ride as they waited for Big B to turn up for hours, but all in vain.

According to college sources, the Big B was supposed to reach here today for the inauguration of a college administration block.

Students along with the college staff reached well in time and kept waiting for the Big B till 2 pm today, but the actor failed to keep date with the school authorities.

Though officials from Swami Parmanand Group of Colleges did not tell any reason for his delay, but said the actor could not turn up due to some problem.

The officials said they got an e-mail from the organisers that Amitabh Bachchan’s visit had been cancelled due to some problem.

One of the college students said: “One naturally expects Big B to be present at the event, but we all were disappointed when we came to know that his visit has been called off due to some reason. It is strange enough that an actor could not squeeze off even a day for an event.”
