Rainwater accumulated at several places, inconveniencing residents. Roads and gullies remained waterlogged for almost half a day today. Among the affected areas were the Sector 46/47 light point, the Sector 20/21 light point, Sectors 7, 8, 26, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34, and Piccadily Chowk and Madhya Marg. The Industrial Area, Mani Majra and small colonies and villages were severely affected.

People had a tough time driving and crossing roads.  “This short spell of rain has made things tough. We are worried what will happen during the monsoon. The Municipal Corporation should make arrangements to check waterlogging. This shows drains are not being cleaned properly,” said Rahul, a resident of Sector 20.
