Tribune Model School, Chandigarh

Tribune Model School held its investiture and award ceremony on Friday. The day began with a motivational song sung by the school choir followed by induction of new council for the session 2019-20. Prizes were distributed among students who excelled in academics, sports, yoga, art and music. Three scholarships were awarded to students. The Ashok and Sneh Sharma Memorial Trophy for most promising student was awarded to Manmeet Singh. The Harish Chandra Saxena Memorial Trophy for the best all-round girl was awarded to Riya Rana. The Harish Chandra Saxena Memorial Trophy for the best all-round boy was awarded to Sumit. The overall trophy for literary activities for the session 2018-19 was awarded to Chanakya House. The overall championship trophy for sports went to Chanakaya House. Dr Anton Reinfelder, Managing Director, Groz Beckert Asia Pvt. Ltd, who was the chief guest, asked students to work with commitment. Principal Vandana Saxena motivated students to shoulder responsibility in order to make a better world.

The British School, Chandigarh

In order to create awareness amongst the students of 21st century about the hazards of the virtual world, a workshop was organised at The British School, Chandigarh, organised a workshop on cyber crime. Sub-Inspector Hari Om and Vinod Kumar from Cyber Crime branch conducted the session. The entire session was meticulously designed to cover a whole range of issues, including identifying online predators and cyber bullying, among others. 

Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Chandigarh

Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Sector 42-C, organised an awareness seminar on cyber crime. Hari Om, Sub-Inspector, Cyber Crime Investigation Cell, UT Police, was the keynote speaker. Students were informed about cyber bullying, cell phone stalking, online gaming, cyber grooming, social-media abuse and cyber offense through smart phone, among others. 

YPS, Mohali

Students of Class XI and XII had an interaction with Aman Bharat Sharma, who is the alumni of 1994 batch. He motivated students to work hard and improve their productivity by analysing everyday tasks. He encouraged students to participate in co-curricular activities to develop life skills. He attributed his personality to the school’s extensive activity network.
