St Stephen’s gymnasts finish on top

St Stephen’s School, Sector 45, won the girls’ U-14 title in the inter-school gymnastics championship at the Sector 7 Sports Complex, here, on Friday.

The team of Ashanpreet, Aastha Asthana and Arshnoor accumulated 59.50 points to claim the top spot.  

Nargis, Vanshika, Dharvi and Eshaani of Ankur Public School, Sector 14, finished second with a total of 56.50 points, while the team of Arshia, Krishma, Jiya and Radhika from St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, scored 54.80 points to bagged the third position.

Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, team of Aavya, Anshuman, Kanan, Suhaani and Manya secured the fourth position with a total of 47.50 points.

Meanwhile, Ashanpreet of St Stephen’s School was adjudged the best rhythmic gymnast. Ashanpreet scored a total of 25.50 points to lead the chart.  

Nargis of Ankur School finished second with a total of 25.30 points, while Aavya of Sacred Heart amassed 24.80 points to claim the third spot. 

In the artistic category, Riya of Government Model High School, Sector 26, claimed the overall title with a total of 33.50 points. 

Harshjot of Moti Ram Arya School scored finished a distant second with a score of 29.10 points, while Ritika of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, scored 27.10 points to claim the third spot. 

Manisha of Government Senior Secondary School, Mani Majra, was fourth with a total of 20.20 points.
