Togan: St Stephen’s School, Togan, organised its annual athletics meet. Students from pre-nursery to Class XII showcased their talents through a march past followed by track races and athletic events. The main attractions of the event were ‘Human pyramid formation’ and musical drill displays. Other recreational activities included sack race, hurdle race, candy race and blowing balloon race. Winners were given medals in recognition of their efforts.

Aanchal International

Chandigarh: Aanchal International School celebrated its annual day — Xpressions-2018 — at the auditorium of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46-B, Chandigarh. The occasion was graced by BJP leader Sanjay Tandon, and the guest of honour was Prem Kaushik, Chandigarh BJP General Secretary. The annual school report was read by the principal.

St Soldier

Mohali: St Soldier School, Phase 7, organised a light and sound extravagansa — Sher-E-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh — to commemorate 25 years of its inception, under the guidance of Dr Sahib Singh, a renowned theatre personality. The occasion was graced by Charanjit Singh Channi, Minister of Technical Educational and Industrial Training. The event showcased a few excerpts from the life of “Lion of Five Rivers”, presented by budding artistes from Classes VII to IX and XI. Anurag Raina in the role of Ranjit Singh was highly applauded by the audience.

Panchkula: The 17th Satluj Open Tennis Championship was organised at Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula. More than 82 students from various schools and clubs of Panchkula and tricity participated in the championship. Principal Krit Serai said: “The championship is a platform for budding tennis players.” He also wished luck to students.

Mohali: AKSIPS-125 Smart School, Mohali, celebrated its magnificent annual function — Uziyara – The Dawn of Equality. The theme was based on equality in nurturing a child.
