Chandigarh: Ryan International School, Chandigarh, announced the toppers of Cambridge Young Learners’ English, for the session 2017-18. In the starter’s category, Cherish Goyal, Tanvi Verma, Vaibhav Kaushik and Aarushi Gulati were the winners. Shashwat Mohanty, Varnika Bansal, Sanu Verma, Vidhi Pandita, Dhairya, Bhawna, Kabir S Lamba, Mishti Jain and Mannat Sharma were the winners in the mover's category. In the flyer's category, Ridhima Saxena, Devansh Yadu and Shobit were the winners. Sarthak Saxena, Ishpreet Kaur and Aadya Mishra were declared as the winners in the ket category.  

Satluj Public School   

Panchkula: Satluj Public School organised freshers party for the students of Class XI. English and Hindi songs, ghazals, sufi songs, dances, jokes, fun games like musical chairs, guess the song and lost and found were the highlights of the show.

Govt Model Sr Sec School

Chandigarh: A seminar on carrier guidance and job opportunities was held by the Regional Employment Exchange, UT Chandigarh, at GMSSS-32. Er Sandeep Kumar, PCS (A), conducted an interactive session with the students on important aspects to be considered when making a choice of stream.  Sanjeeda Beri, Regional Employment Officer, motivated the students to choose an aim and work in the right direction through proper guidance and counselling.

DAV School   

Panchkula: DAV School, Sector 8, Panchkula, organised an inter-school declamation contest. Around 18 schools participated in the contest. RC Jeewan, former principal of DAV College, Sector 10, was the chief guest. The Gurukul, Sector 20, Panchkula, won the contest. 

Learning Paths School 

Chandigarh: In a series of inter-school competition ‘credence’ hosted by Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, Lavanya Sharma and Haransh Kaur Batra of Learning Paths School, Mohali, bagged the first prize in earthen pot decoration. Ojaswi and Samridhi stood first in doll-making contest, while Sahib Sharma won the English competition 'shipwreck' and Parmanyu Garg and Abhinav stood second in the math competition 'space walk: model display'. A team of Learning Paths School bagged the third position in the social advertisement competition ‘live and relive’ in both the senior and junior categories. Over 40 students participated in the French musical competition ‘enchante’, grabbing the third prize. Learning Paths School was declared the overall winners. — TNS
