Prof Devinder given addl charge of SVC

Chandigarh, January 7

Prof Devinder Singh of the Department of Laws, Panjab University, will look after the work of Secretary to Vice-Chancellor (SVC), in addition to his own duties, with immediate effect, during the leave period of Muneeshwar Joshi.

He has been actively associated with Panjab University Teachers’ Association (PUTA) and was its President in 2013-14. Prof Devinder has taught constitutional law, human rights, family and culture for 18 years. He has authored three books and guided 15 students for PhD and 70 students of LLM. Earlier, he had taught at Regional Centre, Himachal Pradesh University, Dharamshala, Army Institute of Law, Patiala and Mohali and Regional Centre of PU in Ludhiana. Presently, he is a coordinator of Dr BR Ambedkar Centre, PU.

Muneeshwar Joshi has gone on a two-month leave. He had joined the office on September 13, 2018.
