Prisoner’s escape: Over 50 calls made from jail

More than 50 calls were made from the Ambala jail to free gangster Deepak. The Panchkula Police, who have recovered mobile phones from the jail, have also come to know that a number of WhatsApp calls and messages were exchanged between Satbir Singh, Joginder Singh, Deepak Kumar, members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Gangster Sampat Nehra was out of the jail.
It was all revealed during interrogation of Satbir Singh, who was lodged in the same barrack, along with gangster Deepak Kumar, in the Ambala jail, that gangster Sampat Nehra, who freed Deepak Kumar, from the police custody, had provided mobile phones.
The police have already recovered the phones and a separate case has been registered in Ambala. The three armed men of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had fired gunshots into the air, used pepper spray on hospital staff, police personnel and freed gangster Deepak Kumar, who was brought from the Ambala jail to a Panchkula hospital for a medical examination on June 17.
The guilty
In the Haryana Prisons Department report on the escape of undertrial Deepak Kumar from police custody on June 17, Vishal Chhibber, Deputy Superintendent (Prisons) (Administration), and Balwinder Singh, a doctor in the Ambala jail, have been held responsible.
The case
