Manav Mangal Smart School, Phase X, Mohali, honoured the brilliant performers of 2018-19 session during the annual award ceremony. Students of pre-Nursery to Class X were awarded trophies, gifts and certificates of merit for their exemplary success in academics, competitions and sports. Eight students who have won positions at national level in sports were rewarded with Rs 5,000 each.

Saint Soldier, Chandigarh

Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, celebrated Kargil Victory Day. A morning assembly under the topic ‘Three Armed Forces’ was organised in which the Kindergarten students participated. A painting competition was also held. The Kargil tribute song created by the Indian Army as a tribute to the war heroes was shown to the junior wing. A documentary on Kargil Vijay Diwas was shown to the Senior Wing.

Shishu Niketan, Chandigarh

Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 43-A, organised a plantation drive. Students were informed about the importance of planting saplings. The students learned the correct way to plant saplings and water them.

Aanchal International, Chandigarh

Aanchal International School organised an adolescent counselling session to help the teenagers identify various ways to approach the problems that encourage their psycho-social development. The students were explained about the problems they could face in the growing age. 

Sri Guru Harkrishan, Chandigarh

A team from Traffic Police, Chandigarh, organised a special session on road safety for around 180 students of Classes X to XII in Sri Guru Harkrishan Model School, Sector 38-D, Chandigarh. The resource persons Kulmeet Sodhi, Rajiv Kumar, Bhupinder Singh and Mahender Kaur Kataria talked about traffic rules, road signs and the importance of wearing helmet. Later, a plantation drive was carried out.
