Reacting to the Assembly poll results declared on Tuesday, Rajpura MLA Hardyal Kambhoj said the Congress’ performance showed that it was on an upswing across the country. “The results have clearly shown that the people of India were now fed up of the destructive and anti-development policies of Narendra Modi,” he said.

Congratulating party president Rahul Gandhi as well as UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for the Congress win in three states of Rajasthan,  Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, Kambhoj said the victory would infuse more confidence in the party cadre in Punjab and would surely help the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
