At TEDx, speakers delve into philosophy of life

The fourth edition of the TEDx GGDSD College, sponsored by The Tribune, was held at the college in Sector 32 here on Saturday.
Adarsh Natarajan, first speaker for the event, talked about how in the near future, artificial intelligence would enter all spheres of life and healthcare. He talked about how we need to embrace this technological change, use it to our benefit, adapt to the constant technical shift or be left far behind in the race.
Second speaker Govind Krsna Das talked about how fault finding was a disease which has been spread at epidemic-level. He said connecting perspectives meant to connect to each other’s hearts and to be truly successful and at peace, love was the only solution. Zahir Adenwala, the third speaker, talked about crowd-funding and how this concept had revolutionised businesses and helped NGOs.
Puneet Tandon talked about the issue of cyber bullying through fake news on the internet. Garry Hamelton and Japneet Keith talked about how the century-old art of pottery was dying because of the extensive fuel consumption and pollution. Varun Mitra, Bollywood actor, described the conflict that goes within those who have to choose between following their heart and pragmatism. He punctuated it with examples from his own life.
Tahira Kashyap, a filmaker and theatre enthusiast, talked about her struggles of moving to Mumbai. The last speaker was Bollywood actor Saqib Saleem. He told people about his struggles and battling with failures. According to the actor, there’s no definition of success, there are only perspectives which also evolve with time.
