Kidnapped boy recovered within 12 hours

The police today solved the kidnapping case of an 11-year-old boy within 12 hours and recovered the child from Ambala City. The boy was kidnapped from Kurali around 9.30 pm yesterday.
Mohali SSP Harcharan Singh Bhullar and Kharar DSP Deep Kamal Singh said Ashish Jot Singh, aka Ashu, was kidnapped after being lured with a chocolate when he was buying something to eat from a shop in front of Chaudhary Hospital, Kurali. The police constituted a team comprising SP (City) Harwinder Singh Virk, SP (D) Varun Sharma, DSP (D), Mohali, Gurdev Singh Dhaliwal, DSP, Dera Bassi, Simranjit Singh Lang and SHO, Kurali police station, Sandeep Kaur to crack the case, registered under Section 363 of the IPC at the Kurali police station.
According to the police, the kidnappers made a ransom call, demanding Rs 2 lakh from the child’s mother, Satwinder Kaur. The police traced the mobile number of the kidnappers. When the police swung into action, the kidnappers got scared and left the child at the Ambala railway station.
According to the police, the child borrowed a phone from someone at the railway station and called up his mother. After this, Dera Bassi DSP Simranjeet Singh Lang recovered the child from the Ambala railway station.
According to the child, the car which was first to used in the kidnapping was changed midway by the kidnappers. DSP Deep Kamal said the suspects would be arrested soon.
