Day 3 of youth fest: Punjabi singers mesmerise audience

The 34th National Youth Fest entered its third day with colourful performances by youth from various universities across India at the Chandigarh University campus.

The day was full of activities such as one act play, fashion show, nukkad natak and art and craft competitions marked the third of the National Youth Festival in which students from 116 universities are taking part.

Tejpur University, Assam, bagged the first position in the Inter-University Quiz Competition while Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, won the second position and the team from Panjab University, Chandigarh, came third.

Students from University of Kerala portrayed the disparity in society concerning the rights of men and women through one-act play, ‘Vicharana’. The team from Sri Padmavathi Mahila Vishwavidyala presented Telugu play ‘Pipilikam’ which showed the miserable life of servants in earlier times. The day ended with performances by Punjabi singers Garry Sandhu and Jasmine Sandlas, who mesmerised the audience with their peppy numbers.
