Cab turns turtle, three injured

 Chandigarh, July 12

A cab turned turtle after it was hit by a speeding SUV near a petrol pump in Sector 4 this morning, leaving three persons, including a woman and her son, injured.

Sources said the cab was heading towards Sector 8 when a speeding Scorpio hit it. The impact of the collision was so strong that the cab turned turtle. 

 The police said the cab was being driven by Manpreet Singh, while the woman, Bhawna, and her five-year-old son Arsh, were on the rear seats. Passersby rescued the passengers. All injured rushed to the GMSH-16.

The woman had hired the cab from Nayagaon to drop her son at the school in Sector 8. 

 The accident led to traffic snarls on the road. The police said both vehicles were impounded. A DDR has been lodged. — TNS
