AG Haryana blank AG Shimla, enter semis

Audit General (AG) Haryana registered a 4-0 win over AG Shimla to enter the semifinals of the North Zone IA&AD Football Tournament at Government College, Sector 46, here today.
Aman Batra put AG Haryana ahead in the first minute of the game after he intercepted a poor cross from a Shimla defender.
Five minutes later, Saurav Verma doubled the lead with a solo effort. The half-back dodged the two stopper backs before beating the Shimla custodian with a crisp volley.
With their tails up, AG Haryana exerted more pressure on their Shimla counterparts to go 3-0 up in the ninth minute — Karthik netting the third goal for the side with an open post to aim at.
The side held possession for the remaining part of the opening half as they went into the break leading 3-0.
At the change of ends, Shimla conceded another goal. This time, striker Harminder Singh dodged past the Shimla defence to place the ball into the net in the 49th minute.
Shimla tried hard to reduce the deficit but could not match the quality of their opponents and eventually lost the match 4-0.
In another match, AG Jammu & Kashmir blanked AG Uttrakhand 3-0 to become the second team to enter the semifinals, while Delhi Audit outperformed AG Uttar Pradesh 6-1, at the Sector 42 Sports Complex.
