Mohali, June 2

The Forest Hill Golf & Country Club has started a free three-month course play for children.

Around 50 golfers were enrolled in the academy, which will be headed by Arjuna Awardee international golfer Harmeet Kahlon. The club has also decided to open this event for ladies and amateur golfers. The camp is being conducted at the 9-hole course in the club.

Lt. Col. BS Sandhu, president of the club, said that the step has been taken to ensure promotion of the Olympic sport in the region.

“Kahlon has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the club. He is an expert golfer having extensive experience. He is also assigned the responsibility of teaching the sport to the budding golfers,” said Sandhu. He added that the club will host various tournaments for professional, junior as well as amateur golfers in the coming months.
