NAAC awards ‘A+’ grade to Chandigarh University
Chandigarh University, Gharuan, has been awarded A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Established in 2012, it has become the youngest university of the country to be assessed and accredited by the NAAC and granted A+ grade.

Thapar Institute, Patiala, ranked 10th by Times
Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), Patiala, has been ranked 10th by Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. TIET is in the 601-800 bracket among the 1,396 institutions ranked worldwide and joint 10th along with 13 other institutes in India. Six IITs and eight other public institutions appear in the same bracket with TIET, Patiala.

22,040 cases resolved at National Lok Adalat
Under the guidance of Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain of the Punjab & Haryana High Court and executive chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat was organised throughout the state of Punjab on September 14. As many as 271 Benches were constituted and 22,040 cases were resolved amicably.
