State school circle kabaddi games kick off in style

The 62nd Punjab State School Circle Kabaddi Games kicked off today at the multipurpose stadium. Mayor Balwant Rai Nath was the chief guest at the event and inaugurated the games by unfurling the flag. District Education Officer, Dr Amarjit Kaur Kotfatta, presided over the function.
While addressing players, the mayor said the SAD-BJP government had given many special benefits to schools like buildings, benches and had also taken the level of education to a new height. He also inspired students to play with honesty and hard work. Assistant Education Officer, Sports, Pavittar Kaur, gave the vote of thanks. In the event, 21 teams of girls and 15 teams of boys with a total of 432 players are taking part.
The games will played till October 24. In the opening ceremony, Harneik Singh, Raminder Singh, Bhupinder Kaur, Karamjit Singh, Kamlesh Chander Sharma, Harcharan Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Harmander Singh, Najar Singh, Mandeep Kaur and others were also present.
