Physics teacher to be hounoured by President

Geeta Arora, physics teachers at the Government Senior Secondary School, Bhucho Kalan, will be felicitated with the Malti Gyan Peeth Puraskar.

The award will be given by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, at a function in New Delhi on May 29.

During her interaction with District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr Amarjit Kaur Kotfatta, Arora shared her joy over the news and attributed her success to the Education Department, its officials and her colleagues.

She added that she was glad that her hard work and dedication in the field of education were being recognized by the Government of India.

“I will continue to work hard to keep the honour of the award alive,” she said.

Congratulating her, the DEO said Geeta Arora was one of the 15 teachers who have been selected from the state to receive the award.
