Science exhibition bus reaches city

Pushpa Gujral Science City’s mobile science exhibition bus reached the holy city on Monday. The bus, after visiting rural schools, will now proceed towards urban and semi-urban areas.
The bus reached Government Saragarhi Memorial Senior Secondary School, Town Hall, where a number of students from the city paid a visit.
The bus has 24 working models depicting parts of the human body, basic science, effect of drug and alcohol. The bus also includes basic test on body mass index, color blindness.
The students visiting the bus were amazed by the models associated with their course material. Mohammad Vassi, a student of Class X, Government Saragarhi Memorial Senior Secondary School, Town Hall, said, “There is so much to see inside. I liked the model depicting human eye. This is for the first time I have seen something like this. I did not get chance to see science city, but it is a great experience.”
Jaspreet Kaur, a student of Class X of Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, MS road, said, “It has many things from my school syllabus. I can never forget this visit. It has motivated me.”
The mobile science bus exhibition is an initiative of the science city to bring science models at government schools.
Deputy DEO Harbhagwant Singh said, “This will help students, who cannot visit the science city, to get a glimpse of it. The bus will return on August 10. Students are coming with their science teachers during the school hours. The mobile bus has science guides from Pushpa Gujaral Science City.”
