The age-old proverb — age is just a number — fits aptly on 76-year-old Ajit Singh Randhawa. At this age, most of the people make a retreat from active life, but Randhawa’s example is the antithesis. A retired government schoolteacher, Randhawa has recently won three gold medals in the National Master Games, organised by the Masters Games Federation, in Dehradun.

After his retirement in 1996, Singh decided to devote his life to fitness intensively. “I have always been passionate about sports. I used to play football, but now I am passionate about running,” says Ajit.
