No senior official at CDPO
The office of the Child Development and Project officer (CDPO), Valtoha village, was being run by a Class-IV employee. Shockingly, there was no senior employee in the office from last six months. The office has been sanctioned besides the post of the CDPO, one post of Senior Assistant, two clerks, four supervisors, a driver and a peon. The supervisors were meant for the field duty. Except the peon, all other posts in the office were lying vacant. The block level office was meant to serve 70 villages. As a result, the people of the area were harassed as their pension related issues were pending since long. The District Program Officer (DPO), Hardeep Kaur, told that the higher authorities were well aware of the situation. However, additional charge of the CDPO was given to Uspinder Kaur for Cholha Sahib and the Supervisor, Paramjit Kaur was looking for the office work temporarily. The Block Chohla Sahib was at the distance of 50 km from Valtoha village.
