Finally, Bullet comes into limelight

A play writer, director and theatre artiste, Balwinder Bullet, proved his determination for acting on the stage within a few years. His play, “Asi anndate hunne aa”, presented during the ongoing Punjab Theatre Festival became a memorable event for the audience.
After his performance, Bullet disclosed that he passed his secondary classes from Khalsa College Senior Secondary School, Amritsar, and was closely associated with theatre from school days.
Bullet is known for presenting core issues of rural people, gap between claims of governments and under privileged masses, besides ground realities of society in his plays. He is whole-time theatre activist.
The two plays, — “Asi anndate hunne aa” and “Mirza” —, directed by Bullet, got an overwhelming response from theatre lovers. With these two plays, Bullet has established himself in the field of theatre.
Critics have started ranking him after artiste for the voice of people and eminent play writer, director Ajmer Singh Aulakh.
Talking to The Tribune, Bullet said he was passionate for the theatre from his school days. He has written the scripts, which focus on agrarian crisis and lives of the people in villages.
Nowadays, Bullet is busy in shooting movies. One of his movies is being shot in Rajpura. “I am working on three projects. The movies will released next year”, said Bullet.
Recalling the days in Amritsar, Bullet said, “One can’t forget food of the holy city. Residents of the city are creative and warm. I have enjoyed their hospitality for several years.”
