Fair sex fares well as ICSE, ISC results out

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the Indian School Certificate (ISC), Class XII, and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), Class X, results on Monday. City students were a joyous lot as several of them fared well in the exams. Students could be seen reaching their institutes to celebrate their success.
Scoring 97.6% in Class X, Ashnoor Kaur, a student of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, said, “I am happy over my performance. I will opt for the medical stream.” Kaur belongs to a family of doctors as her father Dr Harkanwaljit Singh and mother Dr Hardeep Kaur are medical professionists.
Navreet Kaur, a student of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, has secured more than 97% in Class X examination. Karambeer Singh of Holy Heart Holy Heart Presidency School got 97%, Alisha Sharma and Rahul Vaid of the same school got 96.8% and 95%, respectively, in Class X examination.
Explaining her success mantra, a student of Class XII, Nishika Kapoor, a student of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, who secured the highest in Class XII in the city with 94.75%, said, “I used to dedicate fixed hours to different subjects of my stream. Extra coaching at school helped me.”
Nishika Kapoor belongs to a business family and wishes to study cardiology.
Drishti Chopra of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School and Achleshwar Luthra of Heart Holy Heart Presidency School secured 93.25% and 93% marks, respectively, came through with flying colour in the Class XII examination.
