Everest conqueror in city for yoga

Sunita Choken, who climbed Mount Everest in 2011, is in the city to teach yoga to residents at Madhav Vidya Niketan. NGO Vivekananda Kendra has invited Choken to the city. She will stay in the city for a month.
In March, Choken (30) covered 4,656 km in 45 days on the cycle from Kanyakumari to Khardung La and Ladakh. She had planted 220 trees in her journey.
The daughter of a BSF official has completed her school education from Amritsar. Talking about Amritsar, she said, “I believe in fitness. I have been associated with Vivekananda Kendra for the past many years. I will spend a month here and teach yoga to kids and elderly.”
The brand ambassador of the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign in Rewari feels that being fit is one of the most important things in life. She said the impossible word does not exist in the world. “If you truly want something, you can get it. I dreamt of climbing Mount Everest in 2001. I achieved it in 2011. Mount Everest was my eighth mountain.”
Recipient of the Nari Shakti award from former President Pranab Mukherjee says, “I will climb more hills in future. Right now, I want to enjoy teaching people about fitness.”
