All-India judo championship for men begins at GNDU

All India Inter-University Judo (men) Championship 2014-15 were inaugurated at the indoor multipurpose hall on Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) campus here today. The meet will continue till February 6.

As many as 90 teams comprising 700 players of different universities from across the country are participating in the championship.

Prof Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Dean, students welfare, inaugurated the opening day ceremony of the championship.

Dr HS Randhawa, deputy director sports and head, Dr Sukhbir Kaur Mahal, Principal of Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, were also present on the occasion.
