Aim high to achieve big: Celebrity chef’s mantra

Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, as part of the upcoming TEDx event, delivered a talk at Mount Litera Zee School (MLZS) here on Friday.
The event — TedxYouth MLZS Amritsar — is scheduled to take place on January 27 on the school campus.
Khanna, in a two-hour long talk, shared his personal experiences and interacted with Class VI-X students. The master chef, India fame star chef motivated the students to aim high in life through his journey. He also highlighted the value of the Indian cuisine in present times. He said, “Indian food is being celebrated globally. Our food depicts our culture.”
He encouraged students to never give up in life by quoting example from his life. “I was greeted with many failures as began my journey, but I did not give up. I kept trying harder.”
A special interactive session was also held between the students and the chef. On being asked about his favorite dish, he replied, “My latest dish always tops the list of favorites.” However, he never forgets to have a bite of ‘bhijeya kulcha’ whenever he is in the city.
“I’m extremely overwhelmed to witness teens brimming with ideas and innovations. I will like to felicitate the director, Manjot Dhillon, for holding such an event in the holy city with a great finesse. Such an encouragement to the young blood will make them do wonders,” added Khanna. He also promoted his upcoming movie, “The last color.”
